The site of the Sultan Poor Chenee Springs was established by the founder of the Sikh religion - Guru Baba Nanank (1469- 1539). lt is used for religious practices by the Sikh minorities living in Afghanistan, including weddings and engagement ceremonies. The Bureau for Rights Development is repairing the damaged buildings, introducing measures to protect the surrounding area from flooding, erecting a fence, and training the community for the future maintenance and protection of the site.
