Assessment and Inventory of Gazira Museum, Madani

Home to collections spanning Sudan’s history including rare mummies, the Gazira Museum is a key cultural institution in Sudan. The ongoing conflict led to extensive damage and looting of the museum. In response, this one-month emergency project included a structural assessment, updated inventory, identification of missing objects, and risk mapping. This assessment lays the foundation for future conservation and rehabilitation efforts to support the safeguarding of Sudan’s heritage.
