Emergency Evacuation of Artifacts from the Al Qarara Museum in Khan Younis and Securing the remaining collections of the Rafah Museum

In Gaza, widespread damage, looting, and destruction have affected archaeological sites, museums, cultural institutions, and archives, alongside significant human losses among artists and cultural workers. To address urgent risks to vulnerable museum collections, this project secured and relocated the remaining artefacts from the Rafah Museum and the Al Qarara Museum, transferring collections to relatively safer locations to prevent further loss. These actions aimed to ensure the preservation of at-risk heritage materials and to prepare for their future restoration and reintegration into rehabilitated museum facilities.
