This project contributes to safeguarding Palestinian archival and documentary heritage at risk of permanent loss by strengthening the practical capacities of local cultural stewards to protect endangered collections. The Practical Guide to Emergency Digitization of Paper-Based Archival Heritage, initially developed by the International Council on Archives with ALIPH’s support for Ukrainian archives, will be translated into Arabic and adapted to ensure contextual relevance and usability in low-resource and crisis environments. The project will also produce a series of concise, practical training videos in Arabic on emergency preservation and digitization techniques, designed for easy use and dissemination to partners on the ground. It will be implemented by the International Council on Archives through its Palestine Task Force, in close collaboration with Palestinian, regional, and international partners.
