The 16th-century city of Shibam, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a unique example of vertical urban planning, with earthen tower houses rising up to seven stories. Years of conflict, neglect, and lack of resources have led to significant deterioration of its buildings. This project rehabilitated 18 historic houses, enabling 110 families to return to their homes while providing employment and income for local craftsmen, contributing to both heritage preservation and community recovery.
