Enhancing the Local Capacity for Conservation and Stabilization in North-East Syria

The northeastern region of Syria is rich in history, notable sites, and important artifacts. However, nearly a decade of armed conflict has endangered this cultural heritage. This project will contribute to protecting cultural artifacts against looting and illicit trafficking by improving security measures in storage facilities, and providing training in documentation, stabilization, and restoration.
