Establishing Armenia’s “Rapid Aid to Cultural Heritage” Team

Armenia’s cultural heritage is exposed to multiple risks, including earthquakes, climate-related hazards, and ongoing regional tensions. Many museums operate with limited resources and lack adequate emergency preparedness. This project will establish Armenia’s first Cultural Heritage First Aid Team to support museums and heritage institutions in crisis situations. Through expert-led training, practical exercises, and peer exchange, it will build a network of trained responders and strengthen national capacity for emergency preparedness and rapid intervention when heritage is at risk.
