Evaluation of the architectural rehabilitation project of the Old City of Beirut
Beirut, Lebanon
The Old City of Beirut is home to a large number of historical buildings reflecting the country’s rich history. After the widespread destruction of the area caused by the 4 August 2020 explosion, the General Directorate of Antiquities commissioned a team of three architects and one engineer. This team contributed to evaluating the damage, estimating the resources required for repairs, and participating in a long-term strategy through concrete recommendations.
