This project supports the hosting of Gazan archaeologist Fadel Al Utol at the Musée d’Art et d’Histoire (MAH) in Geneva. The museum has provided a safe haven for over 500 archaeological artefacts from Gaza since the 2007 exhibition Gaza à la croisée des civilisations. Hosted by the MAH’s Archaeology Department since April 2025, Fadel Al Utol brings over 30 years of experience working on archaeological sites in Gaza, notably with the École biblique et archéologique française de Jérusalem (EBAF) and Première Urgence Internationale. His in-depth knowledge of Gaza’s heritage provides critical expertise for documenting damage and supporting ALIPH’s ongoing and future heritage recovery efforts in Gaza.
