Built in the early 20th century, the Lebanese National Library once held over 200,000 volumes and rare manuscripts. Closed for 39 years following looting and damage during the civil war, the library faced further destruction in the 4 August 2020 blast. In order to protect the library and its collections from elements, the project replaced all damaged fixtures, doors, and windows.
