Restoring Religious Heritage in Eastern Tigray

The RELIGHT project (Restoring Religious Heritage in Eastern Tigrai) was developed in response to the armed conflict in Tigrai, Ethiopia (November 2020–November 2022), during which cultural heritage was damaged and human rights violations occurred. The project aimed to document the condition of sacred objects, manuscripts, and buildings, and to carry out emergency repairs. The project was successfully completed.
