Safeguarding Ak Saray Against Climate Risks

Part of a UNESCO World Heritage site, the 15th-century gate of Ak Saray is at risk from rising groundwater, structural movement, and tile detachment, posing threats to both the monument and visitor safety. The project will implement drainage and monitoring systems, conserve fragile tiles, and stabilize archaeological remains. These urgent measures aim to protect the monument now while laying the groundwork for longer-term preservation.
