The Central Asian region is home to astounding examples of rock art (petroglyphs). To highlight some of these works, a new multimedia exhibition will feature petroglyphs from the late Bronze Age to the Middle Ages and blend archaeological research with oral histories. Opening in November 2026 at the Gapar Aitiev National Museum in Bishkek, it will highlight both the scientific and cultural significance of petroglyphs. Developed with experts from five countries (Kazakhstan Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan) the exhibition will reach broad audiences through immersive storytelling and multilingual content.
