Supporting crafts experts at the "OIMO" Festival of Traditional Culture and Crafts
Kyrgyzstan
This project supported eight international crafts experts at the 19th edition of the OIMO Festival (International Festival of Traditional Culture and Crafts), a leading regional event dedicated to safeguarding intangible cultural heritage in Central Asia. The festival brings together artisans, researchers, and cultural actors from across the region. Held in Karakol, the event featured exhibitions, workshops, performances, and an international conference on traditional culture and creative industries. By enabling international participation, the project strengthened intercultural dialogue, knowledge exchange, and regional cooperation, while promoting Kyrgyz craftsmanship and supporting artisan communities.
