Supporting young heritage professionals from Sudan
Sudan
This project supported two young Sudanese heritage professionals through three-month internships at ICCROM headquarters in Rome, as part of ALIPH’s professional support programme. The internships enabled the participants to conduct research on community-based early warning and flood management systems in Tuti Island, Sudan, with a focus on scaling up the TAYA system. Their work also explored strategies for peacebuilding and strengthening community resilience, contributing to knowledge development in heritage risk management and community engagement.
