Traditional Embroidery Training
Yemen
Yemen’s rich embroidery traditions are a key part of its intangible cultural heritage but are at risk of disappearing. This project will train 25 women artisans in traditional embroidery techniques through a six-month workshop led by the Yemen Noor Foundation for Education and Relief. The training will document regional styles and practices using pieces from local and international collections, ensuring their transmission to a new generation. By combining skills development with documentation and promotion, the project supports both heritage preservation and sustainable livelihoods for women.
