The Gamil Ghanem Fine Arts Institute, one of the last public art schools in southern Yemen, plays a vital role in preserving artistic education and cultural expression. Yet the Institute faces significant challenges that threaten its ability to function. This project, supported by ALIPH and implemented by Super-Novae in partnership with the Yemeni Ministry of Culture, will equip the Fine Arts, Theatre, and Music departments with essential instruments and materials, enabling teaching, rehearsal, and performance to continue. It also engages young people in a community-led campaign to strengthen cultural ownership and keep artistic practices alive in daily life. By restoring access to artistic tools and supporting emerging talent, the project helps ensure that art remains a source of resilience, creativity, and continuity in a time of crisis.
