Protecting heritage to build peace

ALIPH Foundation and UNESCO signed a new cooperation agreement that strengthens our complementary partnership to protect endangered cultural heritage.

It opens new avenues for joint action — rehabilitating sites to remove them from the List of World Heritage in Danger and supporting future inscriptions on the World Heritage List, with a strong focus on Africa.

ALIPH currently supports 8 UNESCO-led projects representing over USD 5.6 million — a reflection of our action-driven cooperation.

At a time of growing threats to heritage worldwide, this renewed partnership reaffirms our shared commitment to safeguarding heritage as a steppingstone for building peace and sustainable development.
